Se così fosse
Se così fosse is an expansive photographic journey, covering a decade of work by Berlin-based artist Jonathan Schmidt-Ott. Jonathan's generous photographic practise dwells on the small and the large, using extended sequences as an observational technique. The book also contains four texts in German, English, French and Italian.
Loose Joints edited, sequenced and designed the book alongside Jonathan in a record turnaround time, for it to make the opening of his exhibition ~Vollmond at Galerie Michael Janssen, 24 November 2018 – 2 February 2019. The result is a small, 600-page brick of an object, both sleek and substantial, divided into enigmatic chapters and with an oversize A0 poster densely folded down into a dust jacket.
